Route
What the drive actually looks like
Leave Ahmedabad on NH 48 southbound. The expressway section to Vadodara takes about 90 minutes on a clear day. Past Vadodara, the highway widens through the industrial belt of Ankleshwar and Bharuch before entering Surat city, which adds 45–60 minutes in traffic. South of Surat the road opens up again through Vapi to the Maharashtra border.
Mumbai city traffic is the wildcard — Vasai to your destination can range from 45 minutes at 10 am on a Tuesday to 2.5 hours on a Friday evening. Your driver plans departure backwards from your required arrival time, accounting for typical traffic patterns.
3 am departures are common for BOM Terminal 2 international flights. This is a standard booking — our drivers do this run regularly.
Toll charges are billed at actuals with receipts provided. Your driver will advise exact toll costs based on your route.
For an Innova or Tempo Traveller, toll amounts are higher due to vehicle class — your quote will list these separately.
Aggregators like Savaari and ClearCabs list per-km prices but the toll charges are often estimated (not actuals) and a "platform fee" is added. RDB Travels quotes toll at actuals, listed line by line.

FAQ
Honest answers, upfront.
Everything you'd want to know before you book — answered directly.
How much does an Ahmedabad to Mumbai cab cost?+
WhatsApp us for an exact itemised quote — WhatsApp for an exact itemised quote based on your dates and vehicle.
How long does Ahmedabad to Mumbai take?+
~9–10 hours under normal conditions on NH 48. Add 45–90 minutes for city traffic at both ends. For BOM flights we plan departure backwards from boarding time to ensure you're there with time.
Which route does the cab take?+
NH 48 via Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Vapi, and Vasai. This is the standard highway route — no detours unless traffic or construction makes alternatives faster.
Can you drop at BOM Airport T1 or T2?+
Yes, both terminals. Driver monitors traffic and adjusts departure time. For international flights, we aim for T2 at least 3 hours before departure given current security queue times.
Is RDB Travels better than Savaari or Ola Outstation?+
Savaari and Ola Outstation aggregate whoever accepts the booking — you don't know the operator or vehicle until day-of. RDB Travels owns its fleet and employed drivers. Same operator since 2015. No subcontracting.
Do you offer round-trip rates?+
Yes. Round-trip bookings are often more economical per km than two separate one-ways. Ask for both prices when you WhatsApp — we'll show you the comparison.
Can I book a Tempo Traveller for a group from Ahmedabad to Mumbai?+
Yes — 12-seat and 17-seat Force Travellers run this route regularly. Groups of 10–16 people find a TT more comfortable and more economical than booking 3–4 separate cabs.
What payment methods are accepted?+
UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), bank transfer, and cash. GST invoice issued for all modes. Corporate accounts can be set up for monthly billing with a PO.
